Removing barriers

We invest meaningfully in ecosystem building through programs and events like our All Things People conference that went into planning in 2021 for 2022.

33.33
of fellows have student debt

Rather than seeking opportunities to innovate, today’s bright, energetic entrepreneurs are forced to opt for secure roles to service insurmountable academic debt. Instead of injecting Canada’s entrepreneurial ecosystem with the energy, education, and diversity, it needs to thrive, Canada’s youth are unemployed in record numbers. Those in underserved and rural communities disproportionately so.

As we look ahead to 2022, we continue to be inspired by the potential curiosity, dive and success of the VFC community - program participants, alumni, employers, partners, staff and stakeholders, alike.

Our focus on sustainable growth and impact will guide us in building capacity, addressing issues of inequity and access, new entrepreneurial programming, systems change work and cross-sector leadership.

While our strategies and program are continually evolving, our values and goals are constant: opening doors and mindsets to the entrepreneurial ecosystem, advocating for equitable access and fostering the entrepreneurial skills and mindsets of young Canadians.

Sustainable Impact Focus

  • We build capacity through a mission-driven approach and define success based on sustainable impact
  • Our impact targets, measurement, and growth is aligned with our vision: a prosperous, equitable, and sustainable future for Canada
  • We contribute to systems change through cross-sector collaboration, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership

DEI Focus
